Bob’s Indian Sales & Service started as an Indian Motorcycle dealership, added Indian Enfields, Royal Enfields, Matchless and more, then Honda Motorcycles in 1960. Being one of the first Honda dealerships in the United States and the highest selling dealership in the country for a few years, we became very familiar with 1960’s and 1970’s vintage Hondas. If you know Robin you’ve heard him say he “grew up in an Indian and Honda shop”, well that’s because he did. Even as a child he played at the shop, he would cut out the factory Indian pictures and use them as a toys, I’m sure with sound effects! Later, the school bus DID drop him off after school and he started changing oil, then putting together the Hondas out of the crates, etc. He also learned you don’t put matches into an ‘empty’ gas tank! Then when the dealership purchased 50 tons of Indian parts from the east coast Indian distributor and also dealerships going out of business, most parts with Indian factory parts tags, Robin was like a kid in a candy store! Between these parts, reading parts books and meeting a lot of the old factory guys, he learned more about Indians than most. As many of you know, Robin is the go-to guy for 1932 and up Indians for many years! All models - Chief, Sport Scout, Junior Scout, Standard Scout, and Four Cylinder Motorcycles, military or civilian. It used to be just phone calls…now its phone calls, emails, texts, messages, etc., and even a letter from time to time.
Bob’s Indian was always family owned and operated, and now entering a new ‘chapter’ in its life. Robin, Kim and Terry are headed towards retirement and will be liquidating much of the inventory. (!!!) Just a heads up – not ready to go yet, but soon - some of the first things on the list will be a group of Indian Enfield and Royal Enfield bikes and parts, a group of Indian vertical bikes and parts, a handful of later Indian Chiefs, and some of the Honda parts. When you get over the shock of what you just read (LOL)….if you want notified when any of these items are ready to go, please let us know.
